"Absence makes the heart grow fonder."

In cases of high school relationships I think this is completely untrue. Most high schoolers don't have the attention span or the maturity to continue to appreciate a relationship when it isn't physically around. However in more mature relationships and deeper connections it es very true. When you have someone around constantly and suddenly they're gone, you appreciate them more.
